LifeSeed
It starts with one tree.
A silent planet. Bare rock. Nothing growing.
You plant a seed.
In LifeSeed, that small beginning can become a forest, a wetland and eventually a world full of life.
A relaxing idle terraforming game and ecosystem sandbox, LifeSeed lets you restore procedurally generated planets in a chunky, pixelated 3D style.
Play directly in your browser. Fullscreen recommended.
🌱 From a seedling to a forest
Water your first tree and watch it mature. Earn LIFE, introduce new vegetation and unlock research that helps your ecosystem grow.
Once you unlock seed dispersal, trees can reproduce naturally. Your role gradually changes from planting every seed to shaping the conditions that let life flourish.
💧 Give water somewhere to go
Create springs, carve channels and shape the land.
Water follows the terrain, gathers in low ground, evaporates and seeps into the soil. Leave ordinary plants submerged for too long and they will die, making room for a changing landscape.
Build a habitat that can sustain itself.
🦋 Watch the little things
Look closer and discover the world taking shape around you.
Animals find food and shelter. Birds build nests. Beavers build dams. Pollinators visit plants, while seasons and weather change the conditions across your planet.
From the first patches of grass to a busy forest, there is always another detail to notice.
🪐 A whole star system to restore
Explore rocky, frozen, arid, highland and volcanic worlds.
Restore planets, earn LIFE ESSENCE and unlock lasting benefits for future worlds. Revisit earlier planets and continue shaping the ecosystems you helped create.
🔍 Explore at your own pace
- Orbit your world from space or zoom down into its forests.
- Walk across the surface for a closer look.
- Inspect habitats and explore an underground view.
- Follow temperature, water and biodiversity in statistics.
- Take photos and revisit moments from your world’s history.
- Return to up to two hours of offline progress.
How to start
- Plant your first tree — it is free.
- Water it until it matures and produces LIFE.
- Save for a spring to bring moisture to the surrounding land.
- Unlock Seed Drift so your forest can begin spreading naturally.
- Keep growing, researching and discovering.
Your LIFE costs adapt to your production, and repeated purchases increase the saving time. A larger forest opens new possibilities while leaving you something to work toward.

For some reason all of a sudden i cant plant new trees and cant find where to plant blushberries
I appear to be stuck on a "connect two forests" quest as the second tree ended up in a pond and died, meaning the "second tree" no longer exists, and the pond means i can't create a connecting forest. because of that, i cannot unlock blushberries :(
Hey thank you for your feedback still working on it and trying to remove all errors its kinda hard especially for nature simulation games because things kinda do whatever they like one of the hardest parts is to actually make things work together and kinda dont make unrealistic things im on it and trying to make it better :)
no worries! this is already EXTREMELY impressive, im not surprised some small bugs slipped through the cracks
Big fan of simulation games this game is crazy detailed even if it doesnt look like it. the fact its a browser game makes it even wilder keep up the great work :)
